OCULUS BENCHTOP

NON-METAL CUTTING COâ‚‚ LASER

The Oculus benchtop laser cutting machine is our smallest laser cutter. Therefore, making it ideal when space is limited and perfect for fitting through a standard doorway.

Due to it’s space-saving size, ease of use and affordability, it is an ideal starter machine.

The Oculus benchtop is most popular amongst hobbyists, education and personalised gifts.

Additionally, this CO2 laser is capable of intricate cutting and engraving with precision and accuracy.

OCULUS FREE-STANDING

NON-METAL CUTTING COâ‚‚ LASER

Available in four sizes, the Oculus free-standing laser is our medium sized versatile laser cutter and comes with the option of three powers 100w, 130w or 150w.

Additionally, they are capable of cutting between 12mm and 18mm MDF, Ply and acrylic. As standard, the blade bed is included, with the option of adding the honeycomb table.

The Oculus free-standing range is perfectly suited and most popular amongst signage, modelmaking, personalised gifts, prototypes and many more.

OCULUS FLATBED

NON-METAL CUTTING COâ‚‚ LASER

As the Oculus flatbed laser machines have larger bed sizes, they cater for manufacturing industries such as plastic fabrication and engineering.

Capable of handling full size sheets as well as jumbo sheets, the Oculus flatbed laser is certainly cost-effective for mass production.

All Oculus flatbed laser cutting machines come with a blade bed only and come with either 130W or 150W power. The stronger the power, the thicker the materials can be cut.

OCULUS FIBRE

METAL CUTTING LASER

Oculus fibre lasers are powerful (Up to 6kW) metal cutting machines suitable for cutting through various metals such as stainless steel, mild steel, alloy steel, spring steel, aluminium, titanium, copper, silver and gold.

The Yaskawa Servo Motors and Drives on the Oculus Fibre laser give solidity, smoothness and reliability.

Our Fibre lasers use Raycus laser sources, combine them with the user-friendly interface of the Cypcut Controller, it makes the Oculus Fibre Laser an efficient fibre machine.

Software Options

All of our Oculus lasers include control and design software. Depending upon model, we have a choice of either RDWorks, Lightburn or for our fibre lasers, we have CpyCut. Check out below for further information on each one individually.

RDWorks

Windows based RDWorks is a popular laser control software, especially valued for its accessibility and robust functionality. It is easy to navigate, making it suitable for both beginners and experienced users. The software simplifies the process of designing, editing, and managing laser cutting and engraving tasks.

RDWorks supports various file formats like DXF, AI, PLT, and BMP, making it versatile and compatible with different design software such as CorelDraw and Photoshop.

Lightburn

Lightburn is compatible with Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems, making it accessible across a wide range of devices.

Included with LightBurn are built-in vector editing tools, allowing users to create and modify designs directly in the software, without needing external design programs.

It also has advanced features like path optimisation, auto-nesting, and cut simulation, helping users save time and reduce material waste.

CypCut

CypCut is a highly regarded laser cutting software known for its ease of use, powerful features, and robust performance, making it ideal for Oculus fiber laser machines.

One of its key strengths is its intuitive interface, which allows users, even those with minimal experience, to quickly and efficiently design, edit, and execute cutting jobs. The software is equipped with advanced nesting capabilities, which optimise material usage by automatically arranging parts to minimise waste.

What are the Benefits of an Oculus Laser?

Craftmanship

Owning a laser cutter is akin to having a master craftsman’s tools that work with precision and speed human hands can hardly match.

Technology

This marvel of its modern technology is its ability to make ultra-precise cuts, creating pieces with meticulous accuracy.

Craftmanship

Imagine the creative possibilities with a tool not confined to one type of material. Whether working with wood in your latest art project, etching a beautiful design onto a leather jacket, or cutting through acrylic for an architectural model, a laser cutter handles it with the same finesse.

Versatility

They can cut or engrave a wide range of materials, including wood, acrylic, metal, leather, glass, and fabric, making them suitable for different industries such as manufacturing, crafting, and design.

Automation

Once a design is programmed, the Oculus laser cutter can repeat the same precise cuts or engravings multiple times, making it perfect for large-scale production without loss of quality.

High Speed

Laser cutters operate quickly, enabling rapid production with minimal downtime. This speed enhances overall efficiency, particularly in high-volume production environments.

Do I need a

Filtration System?

All Oculus lasers can extract externally (similar to a tumble-dryer hose). However, we know this isn’t always ideal, such as classroom environments. We work in partnership with BOFA International to supply outstanding filtration units for all of our COâ‚‚ laser cutting machines that connect directly.

BOFA AD 350 Filter Unit:

Suitable for Models 5030 and 6040

Fume extraction system for light-duty laser marking, coding and engraving applications. The compact AD 350 is ideal for use in schools, sign-making workshops and small-scale industrial environments.

BOFA

BOFA AD 500 iQ Filter Unit:

Suitable for Models 6090 and 1390

The AD 500 iQ mid to high-end laser fume extraction system combines extremely large filter capacity with high airflow and pressure rates, making it the ideal choice for heavy-duty applications that generate large amounts of particulate and gaseous organic compounds.

BOFA AD 1000 iQ:

Suitable for Models 1610 and 1812

High-performance laser fume extraction system for applications in laser marking, coding and engraving. BOFA’s AD 1000 iQ high-end laser extraction system combines extremely large filter capacity with high airflow and pressure rates, making it the ideal choice for heavy-duty applications that generate large amounts of particulate and gaseous organic compounds.

BOFA AD 2000 iQ:

Suitable for Models 1325 and 1530

The AD 2000 iQ’s technology helps to deliver superior and measurable performance, helping to ensure airflow and filtration is maintained even when particulates start to build up.
